Spring Flowers

For me the biggest sign of spring is flowers! I love to see the early spring ephemerals that come out before there are even leaves on the trees--a sure sign that winter is over! Here is a picture of some bloodroot and trout lilies in Newmarket.

Cycling and Birdsong

I'm always so delighted with the first rides in the watershed on my road bike in the spring. It's sweet to hear the songs of meadowlarks, eastern phoebes, and many other birds while feeling the warm sun on my skin as I ride through the countryside.
